In the Victorian era, smoking caps were worn to keep the noggin nice and toasty while lounging in cold, drafty smoking rooms. Our tasseled replica, velvety and adorned with accents of golden embroidery, captures the opulent and ornate style of the era. Inside is lined with velvet for a very soft, comfortable fit. Cap features a 3.5 inch crown topped with a golden tassel.
Velvet fabric is a plush blend of 65% acetate and 35% nylon. Imported. Dry clean only. Available in sizes L and XL.

I got it to drive my gold and black 67 Chrysler Imperial around Houston in .Now when I scoot around town I feel like a true macho hombre! When it cools down I think it will be good for oil painting too .Thanks for the sartorial boost !

Being a true 'hat' person I couldn't pass this up. I like the quality. Also, it's perfect for windy days as it's low enough on my head to not blow away. My friends are hysterical that the tassel isn't stuck in place. I also have the hat from BBC "Copper". It's the plain version but I've decorated for each season.
One issue, the Smoking Cap is shipped flat. So I've filled it with tissue to get and preserve the round shape.

Great fit and look. Measure your head for proper size.
I really can't answer about the quality since it is for my son and he hasn't gotten them yet to see how well they hold up.
