Stealthy style for the Victorian gentleman, our Black Wool Inverness Cape is what to wear when strolling cobblestone streets by the light of the gas lamps - surefire, streetwise credibility. Ideal for your favorite Sherlock or Jack the Ripper impression, but will also shine as a stylish dress cloak.
Falling below the knees, this full-length, black-lined cloak features a generous cut and over-cape construction with fabric-covered buttons from the neck to waist. Inner cloak has generously sized arm holes to allow freedom of movement and access to two slant pockets.
Fashioned with a 100 percent wool exterior with black satin lining. Cowl reaches 27" down the back, while the bottom coat hem falls approximately 52", falling below the knees on the average height man. Imported. Dry clean only.
One size fits most men, up to 56" chest, neck measures 20".

Button hole for the top button is not in the right place causing a wrinkle , because the next button hole is too close to the top one. I'll have to have it fixed here. Other than that I have enjoyed wearing it.

Perfect Dickens Cape
I've had my eye on this Inverness Cape for some time and finally purchased it to wear at Dickens on the Strand in Galveston Texas. The event was held this past weekend and I couldn't be happier with how the cape fit, looked and performed! I'm six foot tall and the cape is a perfect length for me. It's made of weighty 100% wool with a nice satin lining and is period correct in every respect. The Cape is very well styled and toasty warm. It also has two generously sized pockets which came in very handy. A PERFECT winter weather garment addition to my Regency/Victorian wardrobe. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase!!!

Cloaked in Mystery
Ever since I was a kid, I have LOVED this look in film. I kept watching this item over the past two years and finally just ordered the darn thing...lol. SO GLAD I DID! It is exactly what I was expecting and looking for. It's a heavy weight, but that's OK, it's rare that you not only get "what" you paid for but MORE than you paid for, but this is one of those purchases. This cape is far better than I could have ever dreamed. It is heavy, warm, and incredibly well made. The pockets are very deep and the material is quite soft for wool. It has turned many heads walking through town already. I am never taking this thing off.

A nice cloak...very heavy weight. Small neck when buttoned and very thin lining in pockets...would not trust with keys or cell phone.

Always wanted one of these
I've had my Inverness cloak for about a month and am very pleased with it. Large enough to wear a heavier coat underneath if needed. This cloak is the "perfect" garment for me in the winter when I want to sit outside on the porch or go for short walks around the property. Not too heavy and large enough to wrap around for warmth or to allow air in to cool off.
