Constructed from durable 100% cotton canvas, long sleeves protect from insect bites and nasty scratches when traversing the bush. Two commodious chest pockets and two lower gusseted cargo pockets offer plenty of space for practically everything but a mess kit. Epaulets keep binoculars, a camera or small gear bag securely buttoned on to your shoulder. An adjustable belt and back pleats provide comfort on the go.
Durable metal buttons throughout with antiqued brass finish. Waist belt has a brass closure, and is removable. Unlined. For best results, Dry Clean or wash in cold water and line dry. For a suited look, pair with the matching Classic Trousers in Khaki Twill.
To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use the larger measure.

This safari jacket is extremely well designed and made. I love the extra length look which is totally authentic for this product. While I am European, I lived in various countries in Africa for 12 years. I used to have such a jacket (bought in England) 40 years ago.
I am very pleased to have found such a wonderful source of clothing design as Historical Emporium.

WASH BEFORE ALTERATIONS
Not the color I expected, but worked out well in the end. Good thing i waited to make the pants after i received the jacket. The khaki in real life is more British Army Khaki than the color shown on the webpage (on various monitors it looks more cream than dark army khaki)
Ordered the 2XL for my 5'8" tall husband. Needed a 2" hem but i washed it first based on previous experience. The sleeves were perfect after washing :)

This Bush jacket is what I was looking for. Well made, fits well, material strong. I wish it had a few inner pockets but they can be added if necessary. I've shortened the jacket...but that's individual preference.

Received the jacket in just a few days after purchase. Very good looking and fits perfectly. I'll probably order another one in a different color just to have a change off. Material is thin and definitely not a winter jacket. Excellent weight for early spring through early fall. Late fall if you wore a sweater under it. The belt is extremely long so I make a double loop over the belt after pulling it in to size. I can't find anything negative about it so far. I really like it.
