I'm a pretty big guy, and I feared that the coat would require some tailoring. It fits like a glove and I LOVE it!!!

I own a Wah Maker Long Rifle Frock Coat. Because of a severe disabling condition I cannot wear long pants or socks. But I still need to attend 6-10 formal occasions per year. When I found the coat, 12 years ago, it was perfect! Despite the fact it was a poly-blend, it had the look and feel of a good worsted wool gabardine, and went perfectly with my collection of "dress" shorts with the same look (and matching black color). Even though my "old" coat is still in excellent condition, it looks a little "tired". Because my daughter is getting married in November, I wanted to look "just right", so I went looking for a new Wah Maker Long Rifle Frock Coat: poly-blend, Made in America (same as the old one). Unfortunately, Wah Maker has changed something: the new poly-blend has the look and feel of polished cotton, instead of a fine worsted wool gabardine. It is the only long coat in the market place that will work as formal dress piece while at the same time covering my bare legs, and giving the illusion that I am formally attired. (I could have a bespoke coat made, but the price was beyond scary, especially on a disabled individual's fixed income!) I have, of course kept the coat, and because of body shape have had it tailored to fit (as close as I can get to bespoke :-). It's a Wah Maker garment - I'm sure the quality is the same as it has always been. My only "complaint" is the change in material, making the coat look and feel completely different. So I've asked: if it ain't...

Just look at this coat. I mean REALLY. YOU WANT THIS. And if--no, WHEN--you buy this Rifle Frock Coat, you will reaffirm the maxim that no one who buys quality ever suffers buyer's remorse. It is stunning to look at; it is extraordinarily well-made; it is a terrific value. You will be equal parts dashing, badass, and mysterious when you appear in this coat. Icing on the cake? I needed it FAST for an event, so I had no choice but to pay for expedited shipping...and it arrived two days BEFORE the estimated expedited date! I am a long-time fan and customer of Historical Emporium, and I have never been disappointed...far from it! In quality and customer service, my expectations are always exceeded.

This is a remarkably good coat for the price. As a cosplayer, I'm used to paying twice as much for something comparable, then taking it to a tailor for fitting. The 44 fit me right out of the box and I intend to use it for many years to come.

We purchased this coat for our daughter's western themed wedding. The coat is a little heavier than we anticipated but we will be able to use it during the mild winter for an overcoat for special occasions. We were very happy to have the coat in actual jacket sizes because it fit much better than the "L" that we tried on at a local shop. This one fit my husband in the shoulder much better.

Coats at this length at these sizes are definitely a rarity. I've searched for hours on end looking something that satisfies my tastes, and just when I was about to give up and have one made (at $500) I found this. It's comfy and light, and there's so much storage on it that I can easily carry anything I may need while out and about. The only thing that I'm not thrilled about is that the buttons end a little under half way doing the torso, but seeing as it was meant to be an overcoat that's understandable. The shipping was also pretty fast, which is great seeing as I'm in Alaska. All things considered it's an awesome coat and I'd definitely order from this site again.

I bought this coat in my size (32) expecting it to fit more like an overcoat but even running a size large it has a rather nice slimming effect. I rate this a 10/10 for excellent craftmanship and the short time it took to reach me.

I'e always wanted a coat like this, So glad I found it here. Fits perfectly, and works well with just about everything.

Chest measurement is 45 to 46 I ordered the 44. It fits good. I may have to take in the sleeves a little. Not sure if it is susposed to close fully towards the bottom when buttoned. Mine doesnt but maybe it's my hips. Very nice. I like it a lot.

AGAIN the folks at WAHMAKER have not disappointed me in creating this fine, made in USA, Rifle Frock Coat! ~ I'm size 48 thus the 46 size fits perfectly with the exception of needing slight sleeve alterations. ~ VERY PLEASED with this purchase! ~ Earlier, I purchased the standard Wahmaker Frock Coat and just could not resist adding the Rifle Coat to my suit rack!
